Fluence is a decentralized database network running on a set of trustless nodes, which allows to operate with structured data. Explicit structure permits to run queries on the server side without transferring the data to the client. Clients and storage providers (miners or hosts) participate in a storage market where miners are rewarded for the disk space and computational resources, and clients can choose a set of providers for their specic service level and costs requirements. Blockchain is used to store contracts between clients and miners and distribute rewards. Combined together, decentralized structured and unstructured data storages can provide a foundation for building decentralized applications in pretty much the same way as their centralized counterparts.
